Gili Meno has its very own turtle sanctuary located approximately 5 minutes from Kura Kura Resort. The sanctuary protects eggs and supervises hatching, nurturing the young turtles until they are 6 months old. The turtles are then released to the wild for their long journey and eventually return to Gili Meno. Travelers to Gili Meno have the opportunity to release a turtle for a small fee which is collected by the sanctuary and used for the day to day running.
